KATS & ROSES
Embracing the Suck with Art & Attitude
Hello, darlings! I’m Kat, the mastermind behind Kats & Roses – a one-woman extravaganza of art, attitude, and unapologetic sass. This isn’t just an entrepreneurial story; it’s a fabulous saga of self-discovery, sprinkled with humor, a dash of drama, and a generous hit of 420 magic.
Life threw me a wicked curveball when I lost my beloved husband, Troy, to COVID in 2021. But here I am, standing tall and fierce! (Sometimes on one leg, balancing a coffee in one hand and a joint in the other, but standing nonetheless.) I’ve turned grief into my canvas, humor into my brush, and snark into my vibrant palette.
Kats & Roses is my virtual playground, where I juggle being a widow, a single mom, an entrepreneur, and an unabashed advocate for LGBTQ+ and size inclusivity. This shop is a testament to personality – not just a word, but my battle cry. From digital art that’ll make you feel seen to clothing and gifts that say what everyone’s thinking but won’t dare say – I’ve got it all.
“But Kat! You use AI for your designs! That’s so unoriginal!” Um, girl BYE. While some may think AI-assisted art lacks originality, I blend AI with my unique creative vision to produce designs that reflect my brand’s fierce personality and values. You won’t find anything like my designs anywhere else. Period.
This journey began to continue Troy’s legacy – his fierce support for LGBTQ+ rights and his love for going “green.” (Or, as the kids say, "Gardening." LOL) But it’s evolved, just like me. Alongside generating some much-needed dough (teens and weed aren’t cheap, folks), I’m working towards establishing a foundation in Troy’s memory.
Join me on this rollercoaster ride of creation, growth, and resilience. It’s like RuPaul’s Snatch Game up in here – you never know what you’re gonna get, but I guarantee it’ll be full of heart, humor, and maybe a few swear words. So, buckle up, browse around, and find something that tickles your fancy or at least makes you chuckle.
Here’s to embracing the suck, painting it in bold colors, and laughing in the face of adversity. Because, why not?
xoxo,
Kat
